Texas situation now way worse than any lockdown or hurricane or natural disaster. Feels like living in a post bombed kosovo or war zone, except without the artillery. Infrastructure has crumbled. But when we are saved, we WANT to do good works. In the book of James, it says faith without works is dead.
A lot of churches are teaching that it's being a good person and doing good works that saves us. WRONG!! It's faith in JESUS.
@sonya2020 YES, Once we accept the gift of righteousness earned by Jesus and given to us as a free gift that we can never earn, THEN we are finally capable of having truly good work, flow from God through us as a conduit. And we want to do good "work" because our whole view of reality, & what is truly important changed.. Before writing a reply. Qualify it by explaining exactly what the gospel is. If you cannot, or you're making it up as you go... Wow. You have a very big problem. Every true Christian can tell you what the gospel message is. If you cannot, or you get it wrong......Suggested reading: Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Hebrews. It's all over the Bible if you know what you're looking at. It's even in Genesis and Revelation. The Suggested books above spell it out very plainly. Nothing is more important.
