A dissident refugee from the Peoples Democratic Republic of New Jersey, who persuaded his family that living in urban decay was not conducive to longevity, I and my wife are living in Appalachia and trying our hand at decoupling from excessive modernity. I successfully survived 25 years of law enforcement, and am enjoying the much- lower population density in a small-town farming community.
