If you had $1000 in your hands a year ago, that $1000 would now be worth about $800 in purchasing power. In another year, it may only be worth $600.
But if you had $1000 worth of GOLD in your hands a year ago, that gold would now be worth about $1240. And it's going much higher.

Copper and aluminum are used to make electrical wiring, which of course is used in homes, buildings, vehicles, computers, etc. Expect insane price increases in all goods made from these elements, probably dwarfing the price spikes witnessed during covid. The supply chain shortages will get WORSE and will persist for YEARS.
