Reportedly, the Trump Administration is going after the International Criminal Court with sweeping sanctions that could shut it down. Earlier this month the House of Representatives voted to impose sanctions on the ICC, pending a Senate vote, a precedent which was set by the previous Trump Administration which targeted a former prosecutor of the ICC who investigated war crimes in Afghanistan and Palestine. Now the ICC fears Trump will aggressively sanction the court itself regardless of the Senate's vote.

Here is a quote from the above article which describes how such sanctions could effectively shut the court down:

"Core services that would be jeopardized by institutional sanctions include the ICC’s access to banking and payment systems, IT infrastructure and insurance providers. Such measures would prevent US-based companies from conducting business or transactions with the court."

As Max Igan points out in his most recent video, removing a genocide watchdog like the ICC is a worrisome development for both Gaza and the rest of the world, including the US. If Trump shuts down the ICC at the same time he's shutting down the US borders, what might he be about to do to Americans? If someone bars the door to your home and knocks out the alarm system, what might they do next?
