Ah, now here's a piece that may provide more understanding. From AlJazeera, "Three thousand people who survived missile attacks in other parts of Gaza had come to take refuge at al-Ahli, where they slept in the garden courtyard and in the upper floors of the hospital building." So people were SLEEPING IN THE COURTYARD, right next to the parking lot. I can certainly see that those people could have been killed by such a blast in the parking lot, even if that blast didn't bring down the buildings. I wasn't aware that people were sleeping in the courtyard. https://www.aljazeera.com/gallery/2023/10/18/gazas-ahli-arab-hospital-after-the-attack-that-killed-at-least-500-people

Attack happened as hospital was overwhelmed with thousands of Palestinians seeking shelter from Israeli attacks.
