Ok, so to use this bivy device that is being advertised from the satellite phone store you need a plan or subscription to use? If the proverbial poo hits the rotary oscillator, will these things still work?

@MikeyLikesIt I have a Bivy stick and have connected it to my Teracube 2e smart phone. There's a bit of a learning curve, but the folks at Satellite Phone Store are totally helpful and can walk you through setting it up. You do need the phone with active wi fi to set up.
Thanks. Still on the fence with these things. Can't really afford the plan fees but it would be nice to have some backup coms.
