How do you define “Click Bait”?

People these days view anything with any kind of pop up as click bait. That would eliminate 100% of independent media. Did the definition change? I don’t view natural news, newstarget, InfoWars, RedactedNews etc as “Click Bait” just because they ask if you would like to subscribe for free. Who gives a shit if they sell stuff your not required to buy anything. I am tired of people giving that excuse to fend away from real information. The term has changed, and people chose ignorance because they refuse to remove 1 pop up. It’s very disappointing and stupid. Mainstream media funded by big tech/Pharma/Gov shit information with no accountability. Independent news is funded by viewers, credibility is paramount or it will not survive. Anyone else deal with this stupidity with people?
