Two Ukrainians have been arrested at Dublin Airport on suspicion of smuggling €340,000 for a transnational drug trafficking organisation.

This was reported by the Irish publication Breaking news, citing court documents.

Travel agent Irina Bondareva, 69, and her 60-year-old husband have been detained. They are accused of money laundering and financing terrorism. The court refused to release them on bail.

The Ukrainians deny the accusations, saying that the money was obtained legally and that they came to Ireland to see the sights.
