Proverbs 24
17 Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles or is overthrown,
18 Lest the Lord see it and it be evil in His eyes and displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him [to expend it upon you, the worse offender].
@DiamondTNT I think all those are good. I recently read the short book of Obadiah (only 1 chapter), and it's similar to this text. The Edomites (Esau's descendants) gloated over the misfortunes of their brothers (the Israelites), and bc of it, the Lord said that none of them would remain--all of Esau would be cut off forever. It's a very serious thing, and I try to be careful on how I react to the judgment that has begun on these wicked people in our country. Ultimately, I pray they will repent.
