BY NOON TODAY EST, IT HAD GONE BALLISTIC IN FULL ERUPTION MODE COMPLETE W/LAVA FOUNTAINS, EXPLOSIONS, & COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF ASH POURING FROM THE SE CRATER. A SIZABLE ASH COLUMN CAN BE SEEN RISING FROM THE N. CRATER IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE SCREENSHOT I TOOK FROM THE AFAR YOUTUBE FEED. EYES OPEN. IT'S BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE ETNA BLEW THIS BIG. !!!!ETNA UPDATE!!!! It seems this blowout of Etna is classic Etna where it blows hard and fast for 12 to 24 hrs and then it shuts down once the pressure has been relieved. As of 6 pm EST, the gushing fountains have subsided with still some lava lurking in the crater while ash continues to billow. The screenshot I'm including the harmonic tremors graph, which shows the tremors quieting down indicating a possible end to the eruption. KEEP WATCH...THE TREMORS WILL TELL THE TALE. EYES OPEN.
