Was stationed there back in the '80s & early 90's.
Prowlers & Growlers along with some drones are there now as well.
@Ronan_One Great to hear! Do you have insight in common flight patterns and for what purpose planes will be send in the air?

All pilots need flight hours. So, it's not uncommon to see planes at any time.
Each Growler squadron is assigned to a carrier. Their support personnel will fly out to their assigned ship a few days before deployment (C-9/C-10), and then they will fly out.
P-3s used to regularly det to Japan and Maine (at least they did back in the day) for anywhere from a few days (Maine) to a couple of months (Japan).
No idea about the drones-LONG past my time...
