Some are siding with Tucker, some with Noem.
Media or politician. Once again you fall for the bullshit.
We were out of power for 7 days due to ice storms. It made me realize that going the homestead route was the right thing to do. Had lights, heat, water, food, and a way to cook. Our thing during prolonged outages is to put together A LOT of puzzles and screw with the solar (plus crank) power radio and find small, rural stations to listen to. The random classic rock is hilarious.
Quick preparedness tips:
1) As an ice/snow storm approaches be sure to wash the dishes, laundry, and family so that those resources are already prepared for use in the event of a power outage.
2) Fill available clean vessels with water for potable use as well as the bathtub for non-potable use.
3) Use water from tub to flush toilets. No need to add water to tank for flushing. Pour water directly into bowl unit waste is flushed using only what’s needed to complete flush.
@medicinalwithprinciple amen, friend.
Warmth flooding in from a setting sun. Soon the oil lamp will be in order. Soon the bread will go in the oven. Wood stove stoked. The only thing colder than my opinion of our government is this mug of beer.
Like the sun, soon the beer will be gone...
Timeline full of politics, as usual.
Something about a game or some shit.
Some verses, some opinions, some “conspiracies”.
Definitely some Karens.
Everybody is a teacher who teach nothing.
I miss stories.
Think of all the stories and tales of the past twelve months that have been lost to endless blabbering about this article or that post.
Fuck that black box. Fuck the news. It’s nothing. Never was. Never will be.
So many Karens.
Judgements upon judgements upon judgements. Go live how you see fit.
So starts another homestead day. I’m sure the grocery shelves in my area are empty. The snow has prompted a run on milk and bread. No doubt the sheep have lost all control of the ability to drive. Panic ensuing.
While my way of life, a return to earth and self coupled with faith and family values may boggle you’re mind I assure you that your dependency upon buildings of stores and government boggle mine.
Now...back to coffee, biscuits, and gravy on a wood cook stove while they cook fear.
@The_Industrialist Gee, where do you live that all your grocery store shelves are empty and you have a run on milk? Not saying it isn't happening. . .nor that it couldn't happen, just wondering where it is happening. I, too, live remotely on a homestead. . .I would never dream of flaunting my good fortune before those who are trapped in a less fortunate situation. I believe encouragement and information is in order during these times
@The_Industrialist Coffee biscuits and gravy cooked on a wood stove sounds wonderful to me.
@The_Industrialist Adults put themselves where they are. It would be naive to believe everyone on this forum believes they should live in the same situation. We all see life through different lenses. God is everywhere and wise people can prepare wherever they are. I find your comment judgmental because you think you are more fortunate than others. God will care for those that love and trust in Him. In any event, have a blessed day. Just another perspective.
If you’d been paying proper attention, then preparedness has been the bedrock of your focus for all aspects of life.
Nobody is coming to save you. To believe anyone ever was is folly. Now is the time to truly wake up. Put your faith IN faith and yourself. Keep your circle close.
Brothers and sisters, pray if you must. Hold the line if you must. But please, get your mind right. Because it’s getting dark, and there’s a hard rain on the horizon.
@The_Industrialist Well are nt you a breath of fresh air this morn. Thank you VERY much - echoes all my posts. Learn to drive a rifle or you will certainly ride in the boxcar.. Western Rockies FAFO Club
Homesteading entertainment with @TipsyCerulean tonight. Cards, beer, laughs.
I see a lot of people asking what do we do now... Remove yourself from their system... You can start by growing a garden... Pay down your debt... Drop cable TV... Shop local as much as possible... Ask those shop owners if they supported Trump... If not, shop elsewhere... Raise animals if you can... Be as self sufficient as you can... Don't use credit cards, use cash as much as possible... It's tough to do... I've been doing it for 15 years... Finally debt free... Thank God...
@TheFullMonte Thank you for providing people with actionable strategies - this is what is needed right now and moving forward.
Great ideas for all.
@PattersonGlenFarm

The sun will rise tomorrow, my friends. Get your frustrations out now because there’s no time for bullshit.
Homeschool, get self reliant, MAKE A PLAN, and communicate with your closest. Stay vigilant. Liberty isn’t easy.
@The_Industrialist I homeschool and it ROCKS!
@ljamiso truth. Having kids means it’s no longer about us, but rather them. Especially today it’s so very important.
Well, I’ve had a pretty good run not being a terrorist. I guess being married will somehow mean I’m gay too...
@The_Industrialist I’ll be your Huckleberry.
Where the hell is the mustache emoji?!

@The_Industrialist Just 'identify' as a WoMan, and have your wife 'identify' as a Man. You will then be protected under the insane new 'laws,'
@The_Industrialist I’ll be your Huckleberry.
I love evening reads from a time passed.
Back away from the links and clickable things. Stop devoting your time and energy to worrying about future events and start on the path to self reliance. Those links won’t feed your body. Only rot the mind.
@PattersonGlenFarm we live in a log cabin my father built on land him and my mother cultivated. This way of life has been with us for as long as I can remember. I’m not sure what percentage of people have the fortitude to do what we do and love hearing how you teach your neighbors and strangers how to achieve the goal of self sufficiency. Unfortunately so many are accustomed to simply driving up to the store and someone loading their car. We shouldn’t be such a rare breed. Have a blessed day.
