His wife, Mary Todd, owned slaves. The election of 1860, remains, to this day, the most illegitimate in US history. His main platform was borrowed from Henry Clay who had borrowed from Alexander Hamilton---high tariffs, corporate welfare, and high public debt to a private bank. He suspended habeas corpus in Maryland.
The above is a short list of facts on Lincoln. He was a blood thirst tyrant who was a tool for the centralists of the time, which set the stage for the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. At the time, his death was celebrated. As it should be today.

Then threatens a military invasion of the South, in his First Inaugural Address (in public domain) if the tariffs are not collected. When the taxes are not collected in South Carolina, the military invasion begins. "The Union" at the time, was a propaganda euphemism for "centralized power". In other words, running roughshod over the US Constitutions and the state Constitutions in order to consolidate power in Washington DC and in private financial hands. Lincoln was aggressively onboard with centralizing power. If that war had ended in another way, the Federal Reserve Act would have never occurred in 1913 as the results of the war paved the way for it.
