Our pond in the ‘back 40’ is completely dry. The pond in my back yard is half the size it was. We haven’t had measurable rain in over 90 days. All boats have been banned until further notice in the reservoir except for jet skis due to the dangerously low water table. If you want to use your jet ski you have to wade through about 20 feet of mud to get it in the water. The trees are scorched with new ones dying daily. My husband had to start his lawnmower to prevent the battery from dying. It certainly wasn’t to cut all of the crispy, dead grass. Last night was the first time in months that I’ve been able to see the stars normally, without the high haze covering them. Every plant I have is dead. My garden is dead. I don’t dare use my well water for fear of it running dry. This is some whacked shit. Sorry, sometimes a person just has to vent.
