@glockman God saved the Israelites from the Egyptian Pharaoh telling them they would be taken to the promised land, but then made them walk the dessert until those that had done evil in the sight of God were dead. You cannot be forgiven and then go on sinning with no consequence. We will all answer to God on Judgement Day. Even Ephesians says "...unto the day of redemption".
