I now believe that the civil court option for resolving this election will FAIL, but that every failure leads right to where Trump wants it: He can only convene military tribunals if he can demonstrate that the civil court system is no longer functioning. Then, military tribunals become NECESSARY. So SCOTUS failing to do its job actually works right into Trump's larger plan, it seems.
