Israel's defense minister says #Israel is laying SIEGE to the Gaza Strip, cutting off supplies of food, water, fuel and electricity to the 2+ million civilian residents who live there. Although the actions of #Hamas attacks against Israel were abhorrent and barbarous, personally I cannot condone the punishing of 2 million civilians - women, children, elderly - by forcing them to starve to death, to die from dehydration, to shut down the power for their hospitals and health clinics, and to force their sewage systems to fail, causing widespread outbreaks of cholera and waterborne diseases. To target an entire ethnic group of civilians with death by famine, dehydration and disease while they are under kinetic bombardment is unacceptable. It is #genocide.
