People talk alot about hopium lately... but how about rather than trusting in men, trust in God... God is our hope... not to say that we won't have our share of trials and tribulations along the way, but it should give people hope and peace that he never leaves or forsakes us. 
@BrightWarrior So many here say, "our hope is in God"...I'd like to dissect that a bit. Christ promised not to leave us or forsake us. But He probably won't change the oil on your car. Or rescue countries from communism. (Witness millions of Christians martyred in China alone). We can always hope in His Providence & strength to fight evil. But a lot of the day-to-day stuff falls to us. Like kicking out communists.
We cannot do God's part.

ECCLESIASTES 11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. YES: Hope & Pray! but procrastination accomplishes no goals. God gives us a shovel, but he expects us to dig the hole (someone on Jeffrey Prather yesterday). Jesus did not say: "abracadabra" make me a house! He was a carpenter. He planned; then implemented!
@spicegirlid I couldn't agree . That's why HE gave us Free Will to decide either to follow good or evil (not withstanding the challenges).So it's you to decide which way?
