Last Sunday, we canned several hundred jars of applesauce after letting the Golden Delicious apples mellow for a few weeks. In the process, we threw away some apples that had started to rot. Should we have thrown away ALL of the apples, because a FEW had gone bad? No, because we valued/loved them. If we had hated them, that rotten excuse might have been appealing, don't you think?

Context is crucial to avoid doctrinal error. What was Col. 2:11-14 talking about that was NAILED to the cross? The record of our sins, the certificate of our debt. Have you ever been to a restaurant, paid your bill, and seen them take their copy of the transaction and pierce it through onto something like a long NAIL? That is the historical method to show a bill was paid. Messiah paid for our sins at the cross. He became "sin for us" (2 Cor. 5:21) and the spikes NAILED Him bearing our sins to His cross. Our "FORGIVEN" "TRESPASSES" were cancelled there.

“... Christ: ... I've posted for years on Facebook, and am happy to join a new platform here! Below, is a link to my page there. Especially interesting and important is my pinned post and its comments there. What was established during Creation week is what Prophet Daniel foretold would be attempted changed later (Daniel 7:25). And it was (though only attempted, of course). Our Creator's memorials of Creation, and the god of this world's (2 Corinthians 4:4) counterfeits, are what earth's last test of loyalty will include. Every person in our earth will very soon be forced to make a choice between true and false WORSHIP (Revelation 13:15-17). (See "WORSHIP" in Revelation 13:8,15; 14:9,11; 16:2; 19:20; and 20:4.)
