It is 102 days! An ongoing genocide! We are witnessing! Everyday IDF is killing hundreds of Palestinians. More than 30,000 are dead or missing under the rubles. More than 60 thousand are severely wounded. 85% of the population is now homeless! Around the world, millions of peoples are marching on the road demanding an immediate and permanent cease-fire. Yet, astonishingly we are also witnessing the political silence of the intellectuals like the poets and writers! Across Europe and America. They are not expressing their solidarity with the Palestinians. They remain indifferent even witnessing this genocide every day. According to the UN, people in Gaza are now facing famine and epidemic. They are struggling without food, shelter, medicine, pure water, health-care, and all the essential services to sustain every day life. It is now clear the stage is being set to kill more Palestinians through famine and epidemic than by relentless bombardments. And we are still witnessing this cold-blooded silence of the poets and the writers alike. They are enjoying their every day life with business as usual! What an insensitive display of human character!
Since October 8, 2023 the world is witnessing a horrific genocide in Palestine. The leaders of the world didn’t take any short of definitive action to stop the genocide and defeat the brutal and evil force occupying Palestine since 1948 Nakba. People around the world, not everyone but those, usually stand with humanity and fight against apartheid are occupying the streets, demanding the freedom of the Palestinians. Again, not everyone, but only few poets, with compassionate and loving heart for humanity across the world are expressing their concerns against the brutal occupying force massacring the Palestinians. As literary figure they bear the responsibility to stand against all kind of oppressions, discriminations according to the race, religion, nationality and color.
We at Our Poetry Archive believe that, it is our moral responsibility to publish their views in support of humanity, in support of the Palestinians, facing an ongoing genocide and brutal oppression in their homeland occupied by external forces.
So, here we are publishing a special issue, “Beyond The River Beyond The Sea’, a collection of ‘Poems for Palestine”. https://poemsforpalestine.wordpress.com/
We hope, more and more compassionate poets will participate to bear their socio-literary responsibilities in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.

No War Crimes
NilavroNill Shoovro
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they proclaim, and will continue
To proclaim again and again……
……..till the last Palestinian
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they massacre those new born,
Babies in incubators. Driving out
The doctors, care-givers….
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they target civilians, unarmed
Wiping out entire localities
Leveling down to the grounds
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they blocked all exits
No food, no water, no electricity
No hospital- safe from bombardments
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they call the people human animals
Living in refugee camps, driven out
From the ancestor’s land
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they target refugee camps
Dropping bombs, and
Killing indiscriminately
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they target the schools
Dropping bombs, and
Killing indiscriminately
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they target every hospital
Destroying the facilities
Pushing the patients to die, everyday
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As they occupy other’s land
As they massacre indigenous people
As they commit genocide…
No war crimes, none whatsoever
As long as it needed to complete
The ethnic cleansing, their dream
‘Driving out the last Palestinian
……….from the land of Palestine’
