Maybe fence next year. I love baby animals, especially goats. I want a pair of miniature donkeys and a little buckboard to drive to town. Right now, I only have cats and chickens. Chickens are so much fun! I never realized they would have so much personality!
@Swfarns I have enough land so I don't need any fences. I started with kids and raised them here. The goats, when kids, followed me around on my property and will not wonder anywhere they have not been. I fence my gardens and orchard to keep them out but they free range. I don't know how much land you own or where but you may find you can also do this. Goats are like dogs, once trained they won't wonder far. Good luck with your herd
