Helichrysum is a therapeutic essential oil known by the names Immortelle and Everlasting.
I chose to use it when I cut myself with a piece of glass and was amazed to see that the bleeding stopped and pain went away within minutes. I continued to use it daily and photographed my healing. As someone who has worked with my hands and used knifes my whole life, I can show plenty of scar tissue from healed deep cuts when using traditional methods…but I now have two cuts that were deep (removed the top layer of skin) that instead of scarring, have regrown the skin. These two are from two weeks ago and this morning. The area continues to get smaller and the skin is growing back. A year ago I took a chunk out of my finger from a blade I use to chop picture frames. Today there is no evidence of that injury. (That is the injury I failed to document, but caused me to document this one.) I have more photos along the healing path. But these show the progress from the last two months. I’m also in my early 50’s and as deep as the chuck was that came off, while there is still a slight indent, it appears to be filling in quite nicely.
