@HealthRanger I can see silver/gold as a stop gap in a local economy but it's a long way from replacing the banking system. Our "Local metals exchange" is a short 300 miles to the south and if a retail outlet needed to exchange demonstrations on as a regular basis it appears the cost hovers around 15 % due to tagging the value to a quickly changing "spot price"
I find some things comical. the other day I was shopping on Money metals exchange website and a small $500 order increased $20 by time I could finish the checkout. I mean really?? when you're reading over your order with a countdown clock plastered on the page. That's keystone cop stuff and people will go elsewhere.
