Forcing people to choose between putting something in their bodies they DO NOT WANT and providing for their families is INHUMANE.
Every human has the right to choose what medical treatments, preventions and tests they will get, without duress or coercion. Our basic human rights do not have a pandemic exception. In fact, they are protected in a "time of public emergency" by The 1967 International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights Treaty.
(OHCHR | International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights) PART II, Article 4, paras. 1 & 2 and PART III, Article 7, "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. In particular, no one shall be subjected without his free consent to medical or scientific experimentation."
Failure to obtain uncoerced, voluntary, informed consent is a violation of U.S. Treaty Law, even in a time of public emergency.
