This photo is not Gaza in 2024, it's Dresden in 1945. The U.S. and its allies firebombed a city with phosphorous incendiary devices to deliberately mass murder anywhere from 25,000 to 150,000 Germany civilians, depending on what source you believe. Importantly, Dresden also held strategic assets used by the Third Reich, including railroads, manufacturing, etc., but the point is that the U.S. argument here -- that "enemies" were using the city so therefore the entire city had to be firebombed with all civilians slaughtered -- is EXACTLY the same justification now invoked by Israel as it bombs banks, hospitals, residential apartment buildings, universities and churches, claiming "terrorists might be using them." History repeats. The two most evil empires in the world today are, without question, the USA and Israel, and they both have a history of mass genocide - Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresden and now Gaza and Lebanon. They are not the ONLY countries guilty of this - we have a history of Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot, etc., but these are the countries DOING IT RIGHT NOW, in plain sight, in front of the whole world and doubling down on justifying it.
@HealthRanger Interesting story from the bombing of Dresden came from a German friend of mine who lived there for most of her life. She said that her extended family was all over at her great-uncle's house for a celebration, including her grandparents and father, who was a little boy at the time. Her father wasn't feeling very well with a stomach ache, so her grandparents decided to leave the party early and drive back to their home just on the outskirts. As they were driving away from the party up into the hills the bombing of Dresden began. They watched it all happen from their car as they sped away. Everyone in their family was killed that night except her grandparents and father, all thanks to her father's not feeling well. A reminder that sometimes something that seems like a disappointment can be the very thing that saves your life!
