I chew a measuring teaspoon of raw fennel seed per day. It is in the spice section of most grocery stores. They are soft enough you don't have to grind them. Tastes like licorice but did take a little getting used to. Is good for teeth and provides a little fiber. If it helps with spike proteins then so much the better.
