I am a Master's prepared nurse educator. I worked as a floor nurse in ER and ICU from 2003 to 2019. I worked EMS in Nashville, TN and the surrounding area prior to that. Before my jump into the medical field in 1996, I worked in management and have 2 degrees in that as well. I am a gospel singer/songwriter (Sonya Kay) on Reverbnation.com. I am an author of a book I am in the process of getting published on how to escape abuse called "KEYS TO SURVIVAL: Overcoming an Abusive Relationship."

I am a very active outdoors woman.
